Glitter Stitch Studio {Shop Spotlight, Giveaway, & Discount Code}

Today’s shop spotlight is extra special because I actually know this beautiful lady in person. She used to serve in ministry with my mom awhile ago and she is absolutely beautiful inside and out. I know without a doubt you are going to love the creativity and love that goes into her products.

Michelle owns Glitter Stitch Studio and her shop is based in Hawaii (can you say lucky?!). Glitter Stitch Studio is in the beginning stages of life, but has been blossoming so much. Michelle specializes in embroidered hoop art and can put just about anything you think of onto a hoop and make it beautiful.

This particular piece is incredibly special. I believe that the words written on this hoop are words a little girl needs to be reminded of on a daily basis. I pray that Elyse will look at these words before her and that they will sink into her very being. I want her to know that she truly is fearfully and wonderfully made by an amazing God who created her just the way He did for a reason.

Take a moment to hear Michelle’s heart behind her shop, and then don’t forget to enter the giveaway at the end of this post! It’s a great one. She is also offering a discount code to all my readers! How awesome is that?

How did you get started with Glitter Stitch Studio?

For about two years now I have been a stay at home mom and for the longest time I have loved all things creative.  I love to embroider, scrapbook, bake, cook, paint, take pictures and design in photoshop I just love it ALL! Especially if it is creating something new from nothing.  Glitter Stitch Studio came to life about a year ago because I wanted more to my day than naps, Cheerios and diapers. I needed an outlet…my creative side was itching to come out.
This journey has been just that, a journey from fear of failure to stepping out in faith.  Glitter Stitch Studio started as a way to encourage people to see God word transformed into a beautiful piece of art to hang in your home or nursery. I am so blessed to serve a creative God who inspires me to create for His glory.
What does your shop specialize in creating?

I create hand embroidered hoop art for your home or nursery.
What are some of your favorite things to create?

Can I say I love it all?  I love all the hoops I create because I put my heart and prayers into each piece I stitch.  My goal is to create something that will be loved and treasured and maybe become a future heirloom to be gifted to the next generation.  I truly love to create beautiful things with an embroidery hoop and a little string. My inspirations are random and come to me all the time and I am always jotting down notes on my phone…my to do list is a mile long! I see each piece before in my head and draw up the design or create it in photoshop then trace it onto my blank fabric it really is an exciting process to see it come to life.
Where does the name behind your shop come from?

Funny story I kept trying to come up with a fun stitching name. I wanted to find something catchy so I came up with Sparkle Stitch Studio…I even signed up with that name on etsy (PS I can’t change it) but as I was designing all of my stuff for the blog and shop like the banner I hadn’t realized I had changed it to Glitter Stitch Studio. So instead of changing all the work I had just done I went with it.  I still think it was Jesus doing.  Now I Love it and couldn’t imagine changing it.
Anything else about the heart behind the shop?

I didn’t get into this to become a millionaire I just wanted to add a little ray of sunshine illuminating some of God’s love to your home and I hope my hoops do just that. Glitter Stitch Studio just celebrated its one year anniversary and every-time I walk into my little craft room to create something new I silently thank God for this gift He gave me.  A gift I believe He knew all along was in me and is part of His plan for me. A gift of exercising His creativity He put in me and getting paid to do it!!
…Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God 1 Cor. 10:31Michelle is offering all my readers 10% off their purchase with the code: YOUAREMOREREADER and she has graciously offered one of you a custom 8-inch hoop – that is a $34 value! Your choice! So be sure to check out her shop and enter the giveaway below!

You deserve to exist, with the same grace and love You deserve to exist, with the same grace and love that you so freely give to your family. It’s not just about holding space for them; it’s about holding space for you, too.

You don’t have to shrink yourself to make room for others.

You deserve to take up space too.
Sometimes, the habits that helped us survive becom Sometimes, the habits that helped us survive become the hardest to unlearn. Those patterns once kept you safe, but now you’re learning they don’t need to anymore.

Give yourself grace—you’re unlearning survival. Healing takes time, and with each layer you peel back, you’re discovering the person you’ve always been beneath the survival.

And if you’re anything like me, you’ll really learn to love her. ❤️
✨ NEW SEASON ✨ I’m not a big fan of change. ✨ NEW SEASON ✨

I’m not a big fan of change. My nervous system gets all panicky and tends to over research every possibility that could take place. It likes to tell me safety is in the details.

But I know that’s not true.

This year has been a big year of growth for me in this department. Trauma told me control was my safety, but the truth was all I ever had was a false sense of control.

This year has offered plenty of opportunities for me to say, “Okay God, you have my yes, wherever that leads.”

No over research. No over analyzing. No predicting every possibility. No trying to control the outcome.

Just a heart that says, “Yes.”

Even when I don’t understand. Even when I’m nervous how it will turn out. Even when it feels like right now isn’t bad. Even when my heart’s confused.

Even when….

God has been asking us both a lot lately, “Do I have your yes, no matter what that looks like?” Friday was the end of a season for Chad working at the Appliance Guys, and today starts a new season of a new company. It was NOT an easy decision, and it came with a lot of tears (mainly from me - are you surprised?). His boss, where he’s been for the last almost six years, has been an incredible support for our family as we walked through some of the hardest seasons of our family. They will always hold a special place in our heart.

But God said “it’s time” and my faith-filled husband said “Yes.” I have to admit, I don’t envy how hard this decision was for him. It affects us both, yes. But he had to walk it out. And I’m so grateful for His leadership and faith to Jesus to step into the next season when there are so many unknowns.

Sometimes, all God wants to know is does He have our “YES” no matter what that means. No matter what that changes.

May I live my life in a way that has an open heart to hear from God and a willingness to say “YES” even when….

(PS he was so thrilled I made him take this photo. 😂 But I know this season will be one we forever ever want to remember, because God always shows His faithfulness).
I wonder if they would have chosen life for her. I wonder if they would have chosen life for her.

I wonder if they would have seen what was growing inside of her, and the fight that was about to come on the other side, if they would have said her life was worth saving.

I wonder if they would have discounted her before she had a chance.

I wonder if they would have made a prediction about her quality of life and deemed her not worth the cost.

I wonder if they would have saw the life saving measures she would need and decided that it was worse to let her live.

I wonder if they would have saw everything that could go wrong, the bleak prognosis, and compared her to statistics.

I wonder if they would have made a choice to encourage a decision that robbed us all of the miracle we see today.

Whether 48 hours or 4 years - her life has changed mine for the better. It’s heartbreaking to think someone may have once told me she wasn’t worth it.
