There have been seasons of my life, including now, that I really have to lean on God’s promise of provision. It’s very easy for me to feel out of control because I can’t see an answer to my problem. When I can’t see a way out or a way to make things work, I get overwhelmed without answers. But just as my sweet husband reminded me this week, our can’t is just a possibility for God’s can…and He can.
So here are a few verses I am leaning on when it comes to God’s provision and I hope that they can encourage you too.
Scripture on God’s Provision
Philippians 4:19
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:26
“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
Malachi 3:10
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
2 Corinthians 9:8-11
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
Matthew 7:11
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Matthew 7:7-15
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
Sometimes we all need the reminders to be place in front of us on a daily basis, that’s why I created a Provision Verse Card set available for free download. Sign up for my newsletter below to receive access to this download today. I simply placed a ribbon on an area of my home to display the verses. I eventually want to find a more decorative way to display them, but right now my heart needed the scripture more than the decor. Be sure to share with me how you choose to display your verse cards to keep them in your focus throughout the day.
