Miss Elyse is on the move. She started army crawling and you just can’t keep this girl anywhere. She is exploring every chance she gets and she isn’t going to let anything stop her. She loves following her brother around and she is starting to figure out how to keep up with him. She has even played a little rough with him and I can see all the wrestling matches in their near future. She’s a sweet thing but isn’t going to let that hold her back.
Elyse also loves to dance. Turn some music on and that girl starts bouncing up and down and it’s the most adorable thing ever. This age starts to get so fun. I remember it with Jase, being so excited he was so much more interactive. But this time, watching her with him, it’s pretty incredible. It takes all of this to an entirely new level. It brings a new level of joy that I just cannot contain. I adore watching the two of them.
Elyse’s favorite spot (outside of with her mama) is right in front of our deck doors. You often find her crawling her way over there and just looking out the window. She can sit there perfectly content for long amounts of time. She loves this spot and you have to wonder what she’s thinking about as she looks out there. Such awe and wonder in her little eyes.
Elyse is still a total mama’s girl and I am not thinking that is going to change. She loves to snuggle up close to me and I love soaking it up. I know soon she’ll be too busy to slow down so I am savoring every moment.
Elyse hit 8 months at the end of November, and although I had all the details and photos taken on time, I just didn’t have time to get the post up with the Holidays. So her nine month one will probably follow shortly.
Miss Elyse, I just can’t handle how fast you are growing. My mama heart isn’t ready for it just yet. But at the same time, I am embracing watching you learn and grow. I love your sense of wonder, and I love the joy that fills your entire body. You like to be close to me and that means so much to me. I love that you love your mama. You love your brother and daddy too, and that’s awfully special. You are such the perfect balance of your daddy and I and I cannot wait to see how you continue to blossom into who you are.
Until next month,
Mommy.
