Do you remember those old commercials that used to play that always ended with the slogan, “verb, it’s what you do.” I can’t remember for sure, but I think their purpose was to encourage kids to have some sort of physical activity in their every day. I could be wrong, but nonetheless they emphasized that a verb was “what you do.”
Grace is a verb.
Stay with me here. Grace isn’t just meant to be received, it’s meant to be given.
We need to extend the same measure of grace that God has so freely given us to others in our life. If our lives are supposed to be a direct representation of Christ, shouldn’t we also extend the grace that He has given us to others? Grace is a critical component of the church. It is grace that attracts people to the saving power of Christ. It is grace that draws in those who are lost. By extending grace to others, we are sharing the love of Christ with them.
Who can you extend grace to today?
